A∆K Wisconsin January 2022 Newsletter

Dear Sisters.

As January goes, we've had very cold weather. I'm happy that at least we have a snow cover for the plants. The birds have been keeping us busy keeping the feeder full. I do enjoy seeing the different kinds of birds, and the feeder is outside the computer room, so I can look out for inspiration and an excuse to take a short break!

Our State Board meeting was held on Saturday, January 22. I feel that we had a very successful meeting.  The State Convention will be held April 22-23 at the Wintergreen Resort in Wisconsin Dells. I encourage you to attend. Come Friday and get to know your sisters from around the state a little better- always a fun time.  Most of the planning is completed, and thanks to all the sisters who have volunteered to make this convention a success.

Now for the most wonderful, peachy-keen news!!  Theresa Ness, Zeta chapter, will be our State President! Joanne Loy, Psi chapter, will be our President-Elect!  I am so, so happy about this and I know that I have a lot of company.  Thank you Theresa and Joanne!Because of your willingness to serve, Wisconsin will continue to do great things!

According to new International rules, chapter officers need to be installed by/on their April meeting. The deadline for the form of new officers is due May 1.

There is still time to make reservations for the Regional North Central Conference to be held in Frankenmuth, MI, July 17-21. When you call, 1-855-652-7200, use Group #12R29J for a better room rate.

I hope you will plan on attending our State Convention at the Wintergreen Resort in Wisconsin Dells.  It is a fun and learning experience, and meeting and getting to know sisters from around our state is an added bonus!

News about our sisters:

Congratulations for our Sapphire sister- Doris Traaholt, Sustaining member.

Dates to remember:

  • April 22-23  State Convention at the Wintergreen Resort, Wisconsin Dells
  • July 17-21   North Central Regional Conference,  Frankenmuth, MI
