Therapy Team Guest Speaker at Nu Chapter Meeting
Nu Chapter had as their October meeting guests, Laurie Nowak and her dog, Bently. They are a therapy team that goes to schools and hospitals to give a few minutes of dog therapy to those who need that extra touch. Laurie explained what it takes to train to become a therapy team, and how to maintain that status. Everyone was delighted by their visit.

Nu Chapter had a Plant Sale Fundraiser
Nu Chapter members combined their plants for a "by donation" sale during Memorial Day weekend. The $1,200 received (in a day and a half!) went toward their "Babies 'n Books" program, providing books to area clinics to give to children at their 9 month checkup, with a bookmark emphasizing the importance of parents reading to their children.
